National Level Technical Symposium 2019

 

Department of Computer Science and Engineering

Department of Computer Science and Engineering has organized a National Level Technical Symposium "TEKIBITS 19" on August 13, 2019. The Chief Guest of the event was Mr. A. Ram Priyadarsan, Project Manager, Robert Bosch Engineering and Business Solutions.

In the symposium, there were four Technical Events and two non-Technical Events such as Paper Presentation, Technical Quiz, Code Debugging, Mobile App Development, Meme creation, and Connexion. Students from various reputed colleges participated in the events. The symposium provided the students a rostrum for innovation and the fortitude to think critically, plan, execute and achieve.

The Technical Symposium ended with the valedictory ceremony and the top 2 winners of all the events were honored with cash prizes and certificates.

 

Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering

The National Level Technical Symposium "AVISHKRAANTI" was organized in connection with ELCOM, an association of the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, on August 14, 2019. Dr. T. Hamsapriya, Professor & Head, Department of ECE & CSE, PSGITECH was the Chief Guest of the event.

The Chief Guest enlightened the participants on “Skill Development for Industry Readiness”. Various technical and non-technical events namely Paper Presentation, Project Expo, Technical Quiz, Ad-Zap, Photography, and Gaming were conducted. Around 154 participants from various colleges actively took part in the events.

Cash Prize was awarded to the participants who have secured the First and Second position in various events. All the participants were appreciated with the participation e-certificates.

 

Department of Civil Engineering

A National Level Technical Symposium "CIZIM 2K19" was organized by the Department of Civil Engineering on August 16, 2019. This exemplary program was inaugurated by Mr. V. Sivarajan, Chairman, Builders Association of India, Coimbatore Centre. The Chief Guest has emphasized skill and nous required for civil engineers to deal with the technical aspects of current trends in the field. The events for participant students viz., Paper Presentation, CAD Contest, Technical Quiz, Model Making, and Water Rocket were chosen in a way that the students could exhibit their technical knowledge and skills.

 

Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering

A National Level Technical Symposium "IGNIZ 2K19” was conducted by the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering on August 17, 2019. The symposium was inaugurated by our honorable Chief Guest by Dr. B. Somasundaram, Consultant, Digital Transformation, Siemens, South India. In his address, he explained the evolution of Industry 4.0 and how the students need to engage themselves in projects towards Industry 4.0.

91 students from 22 Engineering institutions from Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and one student from Ukraine participated in the Technical Fest. Various events like Paper Presentation, Circuit Debugging, Quiz war, Technical Connections were conducted. Cash Prizes and Certificates for the winners of various contests were distributed in the valedictory function.

 

Department of Mechanical Engineering 

A National Level Technical Symposium "GRALITZ 2K19” was organized by the Department of Mechanical Engineering on August 19, 2019. Mr. Naresh Kumar Ashokan, Project Manager, TANGO Systems India Pvt Ltd. was the Chief Guest of the event. He enlightened the students by sharing his experience and decoding the expectations of a company from the students during an interview process. He also suggested the students to choose their projects wisely.

Various technical events like Paper Presentation, Auto Quiz, CADD Modeling, Mr. Mechanic, Junk Yard, Project Presentation and Water Rocketry were conducted. Around 102 participants from 23 reputed institutions actively participated in the events. Digitally signed E-Certificate was issued to the participants. The winners and runners-up were honored with cash prizes and certificates.
