Jansons Institute of Technology IEEE Student Branch is established in the year 2012. The student branch is active with 48 IEEE student members. The Student Branch Counselor is Dr.S. Elangovan, Vice Principal cum Prof., Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering.

IEEE Women in Engineering (WIE) is one of the largest international professional organizations dedicated to promoting women engineers and scientists and inspiring girls around the world to follow their academic interests to a career in engineering. It is one of the world’s leaders in changing the face of engineering. Our global network connects nearly 20,000 members in over 100 countries to advance women in technology at all points in their life and career.
Jansons Institute of Technology IEEE –WIE Affinity Group is established in the year 2016. The Affinity Group is active with 48 IEEE – WIE student members.

Mission:
- To organize technical meetings of high quality and relevance and facilitate professional networks among its fellow members in the student branch, section, Region and MGA level.
- Encourage youth to be proactive and take the responsibility, promotes the process of creating, developing, integrating, sharing, and applying knowledge on technologies and sciences for the benefit of humanity.
- Organize and support international events at student branch.
- Use the IEEE worldwide network to help students to exchange program or other practical assignments abroad.
