About Department
Our Faculty
The Department of Chemistry is a vibrant network of five full-time faculty and all of them are with doctoral degrees. Our faculty members are committed to advancing science through publications, outreach activities, seminars and education of the scientific workforce. The wide range of disciplines covered by the faculty is also key to our modern and attractive teaching of engineering chemistry and environmental Science.
Our Research
The department’s primary creative activity is research through both individual faculty effort and synergistic collaborations. The department is focused on exploring the design, synthesis, characterization and development of novel materials for the water and wastewater treatment using adsorption technology. We maintain strengths in the core areas of coordination chemistry through the synthesis and biological applications of metal complexes. We have more than 50 publications in the peer reviewed international journals and conferences.
