TECHNICAL FIELD VISIT FOR IDEA GENERATION

JIT –ISF(IETE Students Forum) in association with JIT –IIC organized a field visit to Coimbatore Institute of technology on 06.10.2022 .Two faculty members along with 25 students visited the Internet of Things(IOT) – Centre of Excellence by 2.00 PM. Dr.M.Poongothai ,Associate professor /ECE ,Coimbatore Institute of Technology explained the basic architecture of IOT and components used in IOT based applications. She also explained about different types of sensors used for IOT based projects. Various Softwares used in IOT projects were briefly explained .Many IOT based real time projects like Smart energy management system, Smart School bag, Smart Parking, smart irrigation systems, Smart pollution monitoring systems, Smart home security systems were demonstrated. The objective of this field visit is to provide basic knowledge about Internet of Things and their applications and to motivate the students to identify the real time problems and solve them using emerging technologies
