Blood Donation Camp

The “Blood Donation Camp” event on Oct 1, 2024, from 09:30 am to 4:15 pm, at the Seminar Hall of Jansons Institute of Technology, was organized by the National Service Scheme (NSS) and Youth Red Cross in association with Shanthi Social Service and HDFC Bank. One faculty member along with 28 volunteers and 100 donors attended the event at 9.30 AM. The Blood Donation Camp was organized to promote awareness about the importance of blood donation and to provide an opportunity for individuals to contribute to saving lives. The event saw enthusiastic participation from volunteers who donated blood to support medical emergencies and patients in need. Health professionals were present to ensure a safe and smooth donation process. The camp successfully collected a significant number of blood units, while also educating attendees on the benefits of regular donation and its life-saving impact. It fostered a sense of community and responsibility towards health-related causes.
