“E~GRAPHIÉ 2K23 – An Inter-Departmental Technical Contest”

E-Graphié 2K23 : An inter-department technical contest in the Engineering Graphics (EG) course was conducted for the first year students of 2022 – 2026 batch on 08.07.2022 (Saturday) and the Contest was organized by the Department of Mechanical Engineering in association with BIS Standards Club & ISTE Student Chapter. The main objective of the contest is to enrich the young minds in the EG course with its standards and to evolve from the basic concepts taught in the regular classes. The registration form along with the Guidelines about the contest was shared to all the first year students and a total of 60 teams actively registered and participated in the Prelims; Prelims (MCQ Quiz) consist of 40 multiple choice questions from the Basic Concepts in Engineering Graphics and it was conducted in the online mode on July 06, 2023. Among them, 25 teams qualified for the final contest, The final contest comprises of three dynamic rounds; EG Marathon, Quiz on SP46 and Standards Drafting. In the EG Marathon was focused on the topics “Lines, Planes & Solids”. The participants were evaluated by correct answers, model formation, Accuracy & Precision of model and Presentation. In the Afternoon session, participants were undergone the second round (Quiz on SP 46) in which, they have to attempt for the MCQ on SP 46. The final round is Standards Drafting, In which the participants were identified a Non-Standard component and formulate the details as per the Template. Based on the performance in the each rounds, the best performing teams were selected and honoured with appreciation certificates. Participation E-certificates were shared to all the active members of the technical contest. Feedback link was shared to the participants, Participants felt this contest was interesting and increased the knowledge level in Engineering Graphics and its standards.
