Seminar on IPR and its Opportunities for Engineers

The Intellectual Property rights cell is initiated at JIT to promote research activities among faculty and students and preserve them through patents. A seminar on IPR and its opportunities for Engineers was given by Dr.T.Meenakshi, the coordinator of IPR cell. The seminar was about introducing IPR among the faculty and student members. The components of IPR were disseminated and the importance of Intellectual property for engineering community along with the benefits was discussed. The process of protecting the research was given with a broad insight. The roles and responsibilities of the IPR cell were discussed among the faculty. The significance of research article publications and the plagiarism checking process was also projected. Overall the seminar created awareness about IPR among the faculty and students.
