Psychological Constraints of Women in Pandemic Times

             A program on “Psychological Constraints of Women in Pandemic Times” was organized by IWCC for female students & staff members of JIT on 24.04.2021 from 3.00 p.m. to 4.00 p.m. through online mode. Women are more susceptible to mental health disorders and have been reported to experience higher levels of depression and anxiety during Stressful events like the COVID-19 pandemic. It was emphasized that younger females were seen to be more vulnerable & students due to a sudden break in their on-going education seem to be dealing with more depressive and anxious thoughts. Women suffering with chronic illnesses have had a higher mental impact than healthier women.  Concluding speech stressed that the mental health of women is noticeably affected during the pandemic with an alarming finding of thoughts regarding self-harm.
