Technical Contest on “Paper Glider”
Technical Contest on “Paper Glider” A Technical Contest on Paper Glider was organized on 14th September 2022 by the Department of Mechanical Engineering in association with Mobility Club of Jansons Institute of Technology, Coimbatore. The Contest was organized especially for (Second, Third & final) year students of various departments to explore the technical skills in the field of aerodynamics principles and fluid mechanics. The orientation session was organized in Sivaganga Auditorium and provide an instructions related to make a model and demonstration session was taken over by the student coordinators. The Models were evaluated in the Mechanical laboratory and after that the model is tested in the basketball ground. Total 41 students from all the departments of II-year, III-year & final year were participated. Paper Glider Students made a paper glider considering the aerodynamics of the flight to reach maximum distance. The winning students were selected based on the longest distance travelled with the two attempts along with a model aesthetics. A total of 41 members were actively participated in the event, which is conducted in the basketball ground. Based on the Scores obtained top three winners were selected & medal honored with winning certificates were distributed by our beloved principal in Engineer’s Day Celebration which has been held on 15.09.2022 For all the participants’ participation E-Certificate is been provided and the winning teams were honored with appreciation certificate. |
