Drug Free Tamilnadu Awareness Rally
The “Drug Free Tamilnadu Awareness Rally” event on Feb 27, 2025, from 10:00 AM at Karumathampatti to Unjapalayam Village, was organized by the National Service Scheme (NSS) in collaboration with Anti Drugs Club. The event commenced with a warm welcome address delivered by Mr. Sanjay K, a student of II ECE, who highlighted the significance of the initiative and extended greetings to all dignitaries, faculty members, and participants. Following the welcome speech, Mr. Selvaraj, Sub-Inspector of Karumathampatti, addressed the gathering with an informative and impactful speech. He elaborated on the adverse effects of drug addiction, the legal consequences, and the importance of community participation in eradicating drug abuse. His speech served as a motivation for the students and volunteers to actively contribute to the cause. After the speech, the NSS volunteers led the awareness rally, marching through designated areas while distributing pamphlets and educating the public on the importance of staying drug-free. Their enthusiasm and dedication in spreading this vital message were commendable. The event concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks delivered by Mr. Bharath M, II ECE, who expressed gratitude to Mr. Selvaraj for his valuable time and insights, the NSS volunteers for their active participation, and all faculty members and students for their support in making the event a success. The rally left a lasting impact, reinforcing the collective responsibility of society in creating a drug-free Tamil Nadu.
