World Hepatitis Day – Awareness E-Quiz Competition

World Hepatitis Day is commemorated each year on 28 July to enhance awareness of viral hepatitis, an inflammation of the liver that causes a range of health problems, including liver cancer. There are five main strains of the hepatitis virus – A, B, C, D and E. Together, hepatitis B and C are the most common cause of deaths, with 1.3 million lives lost each year. Amid the COVID-19 pandemic, viral hepatitis continues to claim thousands of lives every day.
NSS and YRC wing of Jansons Institute of Technology created an online awareness quiz competitions in all categories of participants such as School students, College students, Faculties, Doctors, Farmers, Research scholars, Social workers, Health workers, NGO’s etc., form Tamil Nadu, other States and other countries. Around 15 questions were asked about Hepatitis, its types, causes, control measures and treatment methods. The E- Certificates are provided only for the participants those who scored 60% and above.
