World Nature Conservation Day

Observed each year on July 28th, World Conservation Day is celebrated internationally to increase awareness about the best practices to protect our natural resources. The most obvious reason for conservation is to protect wildlife and promote biodiversity.

NSS and YRC team of Jansons Institute of Technology, Coimbatore organized an online webinar for NSS and YRC volunteers. The programme was started with a welcome address delivered by Ms. Angel Melbha, II CSE. Mr. R. S. Heyram, II EEE presented on topic “Nature Conservation and its importance”, he covered the wide area of topic such as Pollution issues, deforestation problems in biodiversity conservation, water scarcity issues, types of natural resources and conservation practices. Finally the programme was ended with a vote of thanks delivered by Mr. Manisankar, II ECE.
