Seminar on National Innovation Repository system-Yukti 2.0

The Institution Innovation’s Council of Jansons Institute of Technology arranged a seminar on “National Innovation Repository system-Yukti 2.0” for the faculty members. The seminar was conducted on 10.8.2022 between 11.30 am to 12.30 pm. The first session was handled by Dr.M.M.Matheswaran, President/JIT-IIC.

He explained that the National Innovation Repository system Yukti -2.0 is to build to a repository of ideas, innovations, and startups developed from academic institutions and enable institutions to manage and nurture these innovations by offering continuous support in terms of one-to-one mentorship, grant assistance, referral and linkage with incubation units, connecting with Angel/Venture Capital (VC) investors network, knowledge agencies, etc. Furthermore, the repository creation and maintenance will also provide opportunities for innovations to take part in various national-level innovation and start-up challenges/programs through a nomination process. This initiative not only complements the national movement of innovation & start-up ecosystem building but also supplements in strengthening the pipeline by increasing the outflow of quality innovations for incubation units & investors community for further
support. The NIR platform will also facilitate connecting stakeholders from both demand and supply sides and match innovations with ecosystem enablers.

The second session was handled by Dr.N. Srinivasn, Nodal officer of ARIIA. He explained about the various instructions and the data requirements to deposit the ideas, POC, prototype and start-ups in this portal. Further, he explained the connectivity between NIR and AIRIIA ranking critirias. At the end of the two lectures, the participants were understanding the concepts of NIR and its benefits.
