Webinar on Gandhi Jayanti
A webinar was conducted by the Tamil Mandram of Jansons Institute of Technology in the remembrance of Mahatma Gandhiji’s 152 th Birthday on October 01, 2021 through online from 03.30 PM to 04.15 PM. The Theme of the session was “Shaping Peace Together”. The event link was shared to all the students of various departments. A total 40 Participants (10 Faculties and 30 Students) joined the online session. The event was started with ‘Tamil Thai Vazhthu’ followed by the welcome address delivered by Mr.R.Madhavan, IV Mech. The following Students from the different department shared their thoughts over the topic.
  • Mr.R.Deepak Kumar, III CSE shared her view on the Gandhiji’s Peace and Non-Violence: The initial life of Gandhiji and the ethical values and thoughts carried out by him to choose peace and Non-violence as tool against the British were expressed.
  • Ms.Brindha Prakashadarshni, III ECE shared about the “Life History of Gandhiji”. Early life, family, education and the vision of Gandhiji was explained to all the participants.
  • Mr.S.Navaneethan, IV Civil expressed on the topic “Vision and Mission of Gandhiji”, How Gandhiji evolved from the normal human to mahatma and the various struggles faced by him throughout the life. He also added a poem towards the peace and harmony.
  • Ms.A.Thamilini, III CSE shared her views on “Gandhiji and Thirukkural”. How his life were changed after the moral and ethics from the Thirukkural. Why Thirukkural is called the “Universal Book of Principles” also was clearly expressed by her speech.
A video was presented about the interesting facts of Gandhiji and all the participants took a pledge to maintain the peace and harmony in the world. Finally the session was ended with a vote of thanks delivered by Mr. S. Vinothagan, IV Mech and the entire event was hosted by Mr.N.Srikrishnan, IV Mech.
