Seminar on Power Quality

The seminar on power quality was arranged by department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering for EEE students 27.11.2017. Power quality refers to the ability of electrical equipment to consume the energy being supplied to it. A number of power quality issues including electrical harmonics, poor power factor, voltage instability and imbalance impact on the efficiency of electrical equipment. It is a workshop where the students acquired knowledge on power quality by session handled by Dr.Immanuel Sivakumar.A, Prof.& Head, Karunya University. The seminar is about various power quality issues and its mitigation techniques were discussed and described various case studies on power quality issues.
