Awareness Webinar On “Parthenium Plant – Poisonous for Agriculture Land”
The poisonous Parthenium hysterophorous plant is one of the world’s most destructive invasive plant species, threatening biodiversity, food security and human health across numerous countries. In terms of agriculture, the spread of Parthenium decreases the grazing capacity of the land. It degrades the land resulting in major economics losses to small hold farmers. In order to educate the students on the ill effects of the plant an awareness webinar was organised by Sustainability cell on the topic “Parthenium Plant – Poisonous for Agriculture Land”.
