Blood Donation camp
A blood donation occurs when a person voluntarily has blood drawn and used for transfusions and/or made into biopharmaceutical medications by a process called fractionation (separation of whole blood components).
On 06.09.2022 in Jansons Institute of Technology, Karumathampatti – NSS & YRC Club volunteers and NSS Programme Officer Dr.K.Senthamil Selvan organized an Blood Donation Camp in association with HDFC Bank & Indian Medical Association. Nearly 61 members had come front to donate blood in this camp. We donated totally a 61 unit of blood to Indian Medical Association. Regular blood donation is linked to lower blood pressure and a lower risk for heart attacks. It definitely helps to reduce cardiovascular risk factors, Prevents Hemochromatosis. Health benefits of blood donation include reduced risk of hemochromatosis, Anti-cancer Benefits, helps in lowering the risk of cancer, Maintains Healthy Heart & Liver, Weight loss, Stimulates Blood Cell Production.
