Drug-Free Society – Our Responsibility

The “Drug-Free Society – Our Responsibility” awareness program was organized by the National Service Scheme in association with JIT-ADC on 21.02.2026 at Unjapalayam Village. The event started at 03.00 PM with a welcome address delivered by Mr. Dhivakaran A, II AI&DS. This was followed by a guest speech by Mr. M. Magesh, Assistant Professor, JIT-ADC, who explained the serious health and social consequences of drug abuse and emphasized the need for collective responsibility in preventing substance misuse. After the speech, NSS volunteers actively conducted awareness activities across different parts of the village including the south, north, east, and west sides of Unjapalayam. Volunteers interacted with villagers, distributed awareness messages, and explained the importance of living a drug-free life. The campaign encouraged youth and community members to avoid harmful substances and support a healthy society. The program concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Mr. Balaraghuram S, II CSE.
