Election Awareness Rally

The National Service Scheme (NSS) of Jansons Institute of Technology, in association with the Electoral Literacy Club (ELC) and Karumathampatti Municipality, organized an Election Awareness Rally on 23 March 2026 at 10.00 AM. The rally was conducted to educate the public on the significance of voting and to encourage active participation in the democratic process.

The programme was graced by Tmt. K.T. Bharathi, B.E., Commissioner, Karumathampatti Municipality, as the Chief Guest. The rally commenced at the Karumathampatti Police Station and concluded at the Karumathampatti Municipal Commissioner Office. NSS volunteers, students, faculty members, and municipal officials actively participated by carrying placards displaying messages such as “Every Vote Counts,” “Your Vote, Your Voice,” and “Vote for a Better Tomorrow.”

Throughout the rally, participants interacted with the public, emphasizing the importance of ethical voting, voter registration, and informed electoral participation. The event highlighted the role of young voters in strengthening democracy and encouraged citizens to exercise their franchise without fear or influence. The awareness rally successfully conveyed the message that every vote contributes to nation-building and reinforced the responsibility of citizens in ensuring free, fair, and inclusive elections, thereby promoting democratic values and civic responsibility within the community.
