World Health Day Celebration

The National Service Scheme (NSS) and Youth Red Cross (YRC) of Jansons Institute of Technology, in association with KMCH Sulur, organized the World Health Day Celebration on 07 April 2026 at the JIT Campus. The programme featured an awareness seminar, signature campaign, and health check-up camp to promote the importance of preventive healthcare among students and faculty.

The event commenced with a welcome address by Ms. Preethi, I CSE B. An informative awareness seminar was delivered by Dr. Manojkumar, MD (General Medicine), KMCH Sulur Hospital, who highlighted the importance of balanced nutrition, regular physical activity, stress management, preventive healthcare, and timely medical consultation. The session encouraged students to adopt healthy lifestyle practices for long-term well-being.

Following the seminar, a Signature Campaign was conducted with active participation from NSS volunteers, faculty members, and KMCH representatives to reaffirm their commitment to maintaining good health and promoting public health awareness. Subsequently, a Health Check-up Camp was organized by KMCH doctors and nurses, providing basic medical screening, health consultations, and personalized health guidance to participants. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by Ms. Harini S, I Civil, appreciating the support of KMCH Sulur, faculty members, volunteers, and participants in making the event a meaningful success.
