The event “Iterathon’26 – 6 Hours. Infinite Innovation” was successfully organized by The Iterators Club in collaboration with the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Jansons Institute of Technology. The event aimed to provide students with a platform to showcase their creativity, technical knowledge, problem-solving abilities, and innovative thinking through a hackathon. It was conducted under two major themes: Smart Campus Innovation and She Shield AI Challenge, encouraging participants to develop technology-based solutions for real-world problems. The event commenced with a welcome address by Vishnavi, IV CSE, who warmly welcomed the dignitaries, organizers, and participants. Following the welcome address, Mr. Srihari Shankar S M addressed the participants and officially marked the beginning of the event. His address motivated students to actively participate, think creatively, and make effective use of the opportunity to develop innovative solutions. The event created an engaging and competitive environment where students worked collaboratively to identify problems, generate ideas, and develop practical solutions. The Smart Campus Innovation theme focused on encouraging innovative ideas that could improve campus facilities, student experiences, and institutional activities through technology. The She Shield AI Challenge encouraged participants to explore the application of Artificial Intelligence in developing solutions related to women’s safety and security. Throughout the hackathon, participants applied their programming knowledge, logical thinking, design skills, and technical expertise to transform their ideas into working prototypes. The event also promoted teamwork, leadership, time management, creativity, and effective communication among students. The six-hour challenge provided valuable practical exposure to the process of ideation, development, testing, and presentation of innovative solutions. The final project presentations were reviewed and evaluated by Mrs. Ramya T and Mr. Prasath Kumar, who assessed the participants’ solutions and presentations. Following the evaluation, winners were announced for each theme. Team Logic Loop from the CSE Department, with Mounika B and Sakthi H as team members, emerged as the winner in one of the themes. Team Tech Titans from the AIDS Department, with Pramoth R and Prithiv S as team members, emerged as the winner in the other theme. The hackathon served as an excellent platform for students to explore emerging technologies, strengthen their technical abilities, and gain hands-on experience in solving real-world challenges. Participants were encouraged to think beyond conventional approaches and develop impactful solutions through innovation and collaboration. E-certificates were provided to the participants as recognition of their involvement and participation in the event. As an added highlight, internship opportunities were offered to the top-performing participants and winners, recognizing their technical skills, innovative ideas, and overall performance. This initiative provided students with valuable opportunities to gain industry exposure and further develop their practical knowledge. Overall, “Iterathon’26 – 6 Hours. Infinite Innovation” was an informative, engaging, and enriching event that inspired students to innovate, collaborate, and apply their technical knowledge to create meaningful technology-driven solutions while opening pathways for future career development.
