Seminar on “Basics of Intellectual Property Rights and its importance for Innovators and Entrepreneurs”

The main aim of this event is to provide foundational knowledge about Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) and to emphasize the importance of IPR for innovators and entrepreneurs in protecting their ideas and fostering innovation. And also to create awareness about the Kapila Scheme, initiated by the Ministry of Education, and its benefits for students and researchers and to encourage students and entrepreneurs to leverage IPR for personal and professional growth. The seminar started with Dr. E.S.Shamila, IPR Cell Co-ordinator, with an engaging presentation on the basics of Intellectual Property Rights (IPR)for the students. She also brief the global and national importance of IPR in driving innovation along with case studies showcasing successful utilization of IPR in entrepreneurial ventures. The second session was focused on the webinar of Kapila (Kalam Program for IP Literacy and Awareness) scheme introduced by the Ministry of Education. In the webinar purpose of the Kapila scheme, steps to participate in the scheme, including workshops, patent filing assistance, and financial incentives were discussed. All the teachers attended the sessions.
