TN Skills Competition 2023

The World Skills Competition, a flagship event of the World Skills International, organized every two years, is the biggest vocational education and skills excellence event in the world that truly reflects global industry.
The World Skills is the global hub for skills excellence and development founded in 1950. The last edition of 46th World Skills was held in various countries between September and November 2022, and India bagged 16 Medals and stood 9th in the world.
Tamil Nadu bagged 3 medals and stood in 3rd place in the country.
In this regard, TNSDC is starting its preparation for the 47th World Skills Competition, which will take place from 10th -15th September 2024 in Lyon, France, and it is expected that the India Skills National competitions will start during November 2023.
In view of the above, in order to identify the potential candidates to above Skill competitions. The TN Skills Competition was launched by the Hon’ble Minister of Youth Welfare and Sports Development on 5th May 2023, and registration is underway. So far 25,000 + candidates have registered. TNSDC has set a ambitious target of minimum 1 Lakh registration for the event.
It is proposed to conduct TNSkills Record Registration Day on 3rd July 2023.
Students are encouraged to register for TNSkills event, a global skilling initiative.
So that the best brains with best skills get showcased on the global stage.
