Awareness Program on “National Voters Day”

The Awareness Program on “National Voters Day” got initiated at 3.45 PM. Mr. Praneshwar K of I CSE delivered the welcome address, followed by an inspiring elocution of Second year students Mr.Giri Pragadheesh K, Mr.Pranav Sankar M and Ms.Selkia J. They gave a clear-sightedness theme of voters’ day and gave the participants the needed awareness to achieve 100 percent voting. A video presentation by Mr.Senthanvarman J of II CSE clearly threw light on how the general elections had been conducted in 1951-52.
To make it more interesting & lively, a debate was conducted where 6 students from CSE department participated, and discussed about “Democracy or Non Democracy – Which is Best?” The session was astounding. Shrihari M of III CSE concluded with a clear message to all participants. Rohith A of I CSE received the Best Speaker award in the debate competition.
In order to assess the voters’ knowledge, a Quiz competition was conducted by Ponkiran S of III CSE. Two rounds were conducted and 10 students participated voluntarily and enthusiastically. Girls’ team from I CSE won the 1st place in the Quiz competition.
The Awareness Program was well attended by 26 Students. The feedback received was very commendable in all aspects.
