On the forenoon session of 27th February 2020 (Thursday), Third year CSE students coordinated the farewell event for the Final year CSE batch. The event got started by 9:30 AM with full enthusiasm and joy. Students of second year and third year welcomed the seniors with badge, chocolates and with loud applause into the auditorium. Third year students Myilanandhan, Joy Princy, Sinekha and Nithish took us throughout the event.
As per the quote, “Happiness comes from making others happy”, fun events like chain chasing, funny dancing, skipping, snatchy bits etc., were organized for the final years. With so much of glims on their faces the students took part in every fun event. In addition to that, third years and second years gave their energetic and dazzling dance performances to their seniors.
Ramya Devi from final year bid a farewell speech on behalf of the final years and also, she shared their journey of four years with their friends, faculties and juniors. “Nothing last forever. Forever is a lie. All we have is what’s in between “Hello” and “Goodbye”. Apting to the above quote third years had presented a video conveying their memories, which took them from the start to the end of their college life. Finally, as a token of love and appreciation gifts were presented to the Batch 2020 students by the third-year students. The seniors were overwhelmed with tears of joy and thanked everyone for having made their day, so memorable.
In the afternoon session of 27th February 2020 (Thursday) the Department of Computer Science and Engineering conducted the Annual Day 2020 Celebrations. The event started by 2.00 P.M with full enthusiasm and happiness. The event was co-ordinated by Jakesh Pon Iniyan, Taraknath, Sushma and Monisha from Third year. Third year students Roshan Sathya.R and Nayanthara took us through the event. The event started by seeking the blessings of the almighty through a Tamil Thai Vazhthu. Sreenidhi of Final year welcomed the Heads of all departments, faculties and the gathering.
As per the quote, “All our dreams can come true if we have the courage to pursue them” Bavadharani.R of final year presented the Annual Report 2019-2020, in which the student’s achievements were pointed out uniquely. The Academic Proficiency awards were awarded to the students in both Bachelor’s and Master’s program. The award for the Best Outgoing Student 2020 was awarded to Ms.S.Vishnu Priya of Final year.
“Gratitude is not only the greatest of virtues, but the parent of all the others.” – As per this quote Roshan Sathya.R of third year proposed the vote of thanks. Finally the moment long waited for, “The Cultural events” began in which there were amazing playbacks from the music club, dazzling dance performances from all departments and various batches, mesmerizing magic show, and a skit on Corona Virus.
The feedback received was very commendable in all aspects.
