The department of EEE organised a live interaction of the alumni through online platform. Date: 30.11.2020 Topic: How to become a Successful EntrepreneurOn 30.11.2020, Mr. T.PRAVEEN KUMAR, Co-founder cum Project Manager, Spark-out Tech Solutions, Saravanampatty, Coimbatore was invited to address the students on “How to become a Successful Entrepreneur”. The meet was organised at 4.00 pm through google meet. Prof. K.Krishnakumar welcomed the Alumni and the audience. The Profile of the Alumni was unveiled by Ms. Anusha of III EEE followed by the address of the alumni. The Alumni Mr. T.Praveen Kumar belonged to 2016 batch. During the interaction, he briefed his career starting from electrical maintenance engineer at power looms to Co-founder of Spark tech solutions. He insisted that the students should dream their career and work hard with tremendous effort to reach their goal. He explained about his start up company with zero investment and their growth of providing job to 40+ candidates. He urged the students to invest their time in learning the fundamentals. The success of an Entrepreneur lies in his vision and his commitment to attain it. The audience were motivated by his speech and assured him to follow his guidelines. At the end, Prof K.Krishnakumar thanked the alumni for turning up to the event in spite of his busy schedule. On 1.12.2020, Ms. MARIYA PREENA, Associate, Cognizant Technology Solutions, Chennai was invited to address the students on “Skills to Advance your Engineering Career ”. The meet was organised at 10.00 am through google meet. Prof. T.Meenakshi welcomed the Alumni and the audience. The Profile of the Alumni was unveiled by Ms. Evangaline of IV EEE followed by the address of the alumni. The Alumni Ms. MARIYA PREENA belonged to 2015 batch of EEE department. Ms Preena stated how on- campus recruitment helps to get into jobs easily compared to off campus recruitment where the competition is large. The students during their course of study along with enjoyment, should dream about their future. She emphasized that the students should prepare for their placements right from their 2nd year of study. The different rounds in interview was briefed by her and she also shared the websites good for aptitude solving. She also insisted that the students should go on higher education based on their interest and be strong in their core area. The various competitive exams was also shared by her. The audience were inspired by her speech and assured her to follow the guidelines to develop the skills. On 2.12.2020, Mr. GOWTHAM PARTHIBAN, Team Manager – ERC, Amazon India Development Centre, Hyderabad was invited to address the students on “Future Career Growth & Organisation Structure”. The meet was organised at 10.00 am through google meet. Prof. T.Meenakshi welcomed the Alumni and the audience. The Profile of the Alumni was unveiled by Mr. Magesh Kumar of III EEE followed by the address of the alumni. The Alumni Mr. GOWTHAM PARTHIBAN belonged to 2015 batch of EEE department. Mr. Gowtham during his address to the students said how the pandemic has changed the corporate world. He also cited the growth of his enterprise during the pandemic. He described the organization structure of the corporate job providers and how recruitments happen there. He insisted the students on the importance of core subject knowledge and also he guided upon effective resume building. He cited the importance of achievements, projects, internships during the study and how that adds value to the resume. He also advised that the resume should be made short and attractive with catchy achievements. On the whole he urged the students to be more competitive and all rounder. The students should dream the right career and he gave the task to collect the database of different companies and their protocols. This will help a lot during their placements. The students were motivated by his speech and assured to collect the database of the companies. They also promised to follow the guidelines to develop the interview skills. At the end, Prof T.Meenakshi thanked the alumni for accepting the invitation and turned up to motivate their juniors. Date: 3.12.2020 Topic: Industry ready Engineer The topic on “Industry ready Engineer” was organized as an alumni talk series dated 03.12.2020 by the management of Jansons Institute of technology and Department of EEE .The topic was presented by Mr. R.E. Jegannath, Project Engineer – Electrical @ Control and Applications Emirates, Abu Dhabi, U.A.E. The presenter explained about the various sectors in Electrical as well as Electronics sectors. Jobs Opportunities in electrical sectors includes Power System Engineering, Project Engineering, Electrical design engineering etc., as well as Job Opportunities in Electronics sector such as embedded system Engineering, PCB design engineer, Calibration engineer were discussed. He added State and Central government jobs opportunities in Generation, Transmission and Distribution sectors. Alumni gave an overview how to become an Industry ready engineer. He then started mentoring about soft skills and how to improve it. Date: 4.12.2020 Topic: RF Technology On 4.12.2020, Mr.Venkadesan D. (2013-2017) batch of EEE and working as design engineer in Data patterns delivered the webinar. He explained about the use of RF technology in industries. The applications of RF technology in communication, medicine, spectrum management have been explained during his discussion.
