National Level Technical Symposium IGNIZ “2K19”

A National Level Technical Symposium IGNIZ’2K19” was conducted by the Department of Electrical and Electronics on 17^th August 2019 at Sivaganga Auditorium, Jansons Institute of Technology, Coimbatore.This symposium is aimed at sharing the most recent research in supportive care via lectures, podium abstract presentations and posters.  The Symposium follows the tradition of bringing together Engineering professionals from many places and fields of expertise.  The various events planned on the day are Paper Presentation, Project Contest, Poster Presentation, Circuit Debugging, Quiz war, Technical Connections, Treasure hunt, Mock press, Dubsmash, Adzap, Fun events. The Symposium was promoted by means of sending posters to several colleges in and around Tamilnadu. The publicity was also done by the faculty and students using social media like WhatsApp, Facebook, tweeter, Instagram and also through Email etc.  The students of Dept. of EEE, JIT have done various projects for display on the day of Symposium. The symposium was Inaugurated by Dr.B. Somasundaram, Consultant, Digital Transformation, Siemens, South India.  The Inaugural function began with the prayer song and the dignitaries on the dais lit the Kuthuvilakku. The Head of the Department Dr.S.Elangovan greeted the chief guest with a bouquet. The inaugural address was delivered by our honorable Chief Guest. In his Address, he explained the evolution of Industry 4.0 and how the students need to engage their learnings and projects towards Industry 4.0.  He also appreciated the students for their projects.  He also encouraged them to extend their projects with some real time ideas for the same.   Also a promo video was played during the inaugural, and highly appreciated by the Chief Guest. Overall, 91 students from 22 Engineering Institutions from Tamilnadu, Podicherry and one student from Ukraine participated in the Technical Fest. The day greeted us with pleasant and memorable moments. After the Inaugural, various events were conducted alternately by the staff and student coordinators at different halls. Project Contest was done in the power electronics lab. Dr.T. Meenakshi, Associate Professor, Department of EEE, JIT visited the Project Presentations and evaluated them. She had appreciated the students for their Projects and gave them new technical ideas for improving their projects further. The Paper presentation was held in LH-19, LH-20 and LH-11 by Mr.K. Krishnakumar, Ms.Akshatha R Hegde and Dr.S. Sathishkumar respectively.
