Design of Transceiver for Ham Radio

The Department of ECE organized an event titled “Design of Transceiver for Ham Radio” in association with JIT-Amateur Radio Club on February 23^rd, 2019. The participants were from Second year classes, totally of about 25 Students. The student members of JIT-amateur radio club presented a topic on Design of transceiver circuit for HAM Radio. During the start of session, review on basic architectures of radio receivers was presented to the students.

The various transceiver design compliance to government norms werediscussed during the presentation. Followed by, the importance of the Performance metrics like sensitivity, selectivity and linearity were also covered.

The session was made interactive by the students with their interesting questions. Positive feedback was received from the students at the end of the event and expected to have more events in the near future. The JIT-Amateur Radio club thanked the Management, Principal and the Head of the Department for their immense support and encouragement.
