Hands on Training Program on   “Drafting of floor plan and Detailing of Structural elements” by using AUTOCAD

Inauguration of Civil Engineering association and a webinar on “Drafting of floor plan and Detailing of Structural elements “ was organized by the Department of  Civil Engineering in association with ICI Students chapter on 08.11.2021 & 09.11.2021. The Trainer of the program is Mr.V.Saravanakumar & Mrs.M.R.Divya,AP/Civil,Jansons Institute of Technology. Both of them delivered about the scope of Civil Engineers in the plan the building area size and specification for a given property. He also explained about the extent of civil engineers in the how to decide the 1BHK and 2BHK depending on the given area. He also added importance of basic vasthu which is most of the clients criteria for different parameter of buildings like residential, commercial,industrial ,etc. Students practiced Autodesk Autocad- User Interface, Commands, shortcuts, Layer options, Donut command, Line weight options . They find it more useful for creating multipurpose drawing with various layers. He also pointed out the importance and its scope of studying analysis and designing of structures using softwares. He shared his experience in construction projects and how to get LBS(Licensed Building Surveyor). The session was very much helpful to the students for knowing about how to draw the different plan for the requirement of clients  in Civil Engineering sector.
