Spoken tutorial workshop on Q-CAD

Second year Civil Engineering students participated in spoken tutorial workshop on Q-cad.This training is offered by the Spoken Tutorial Project, IIT Bombay, funded by National Mission in Education through ICT, MHRD, Govt of India, and the online test is conducted remotely from IIT Bombay QCAD is a free computer-aided design (CAD) software application for 2D design and drafting. It is more user friendly, more flexible to work with its increased compatibility comparing with other products.

As some of the interface and concepts behind Q-cad are similar to that of Auto-cad, students find it very simple to work in it. The workshop started with the usage of basic drawing tools.

Then they practiced the modifying tools. Students practiced almost all tools in the session. They find it more useful for drawing plans and structural drawings. This tutorial session helps students to draw the plans in an easier
