Empowering Future Engineers with AI in Healthcare!
The IEEE Student Branch, IEEE Women in Engineering (WIE) Affinity Group, and Industry Institute Partnership Cell (IIPC), Jansons Institute of Technology, successfully organized a Distinguished Lecture on “AI and Its Applications in Healthcare” on 17 July 2026.
We were privileged to host Dr. Vasily Sachnev, Associate Professor, The Catholic University of Korea, South Korea, and Visiting Faculty, TIFAC-CORE in Cybersecurity, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Coimbatore, as the distinguished speaker.
Dr. Sachnev delivered an insightful session on the transformative role of Artificial Intelligence in modern healthcare, covering emerging applications such as intelligent medical imaging, disease prediction, clinical decision support systems, personalized medicine, robotics-assisted surgery, and AI-driven healthcare innovations. The lecture also highlighted current research trends, ethical considerations, and future opportunities for students aspiring to build careers in AI and healthcare technologies.
The session witnessed enthusiastic participation from students and faculty members, followed by an engaging interactive discussion where participants explored real-world challenges, research opportunities, and global perspectives in AI-enabled healthcare.
