IIPE Student Chapter of JIT has organized a Seminar on “Emerging Trends and Future Prospects in Materials Science & Engineering” on 22nd August 2017 at LH22. The resource person are Dr.Arvind Singh, Professor, Dept of Mechanical Engg, KCT, Coimbatore and Dr.R.Jayalakshmi, Professor, Dept of Aeronautical Engg, KCT, Coimbatore. Invitees provided a detailed insight on various aspects of emerging trends in materials in various industrial applications and gave a listed a few latest technologies implemented in manufacturing the materials with light-weight and improved properties when compared to the existing traditional materials and composite materials. Finally gave an final session with a applications of Bio-Memetic in materials. Materials developed based on the properties of Nature’s own creatures such as plants and animals. Insisted on the importance of Mechanical Engineers in the field of Materials and Metallurgy and the wide scope of opportunities in Research and Development (R&D) and Real time applications in Industries.
