Technical Event on “Model, Make & Measure Contest”

A Technical Contest on Model, Make and Measure was conducted on 01.02.2020 [Saturday]. The contest was organized for the second and third year registered students of Mechanical Engineering department, to provide knowledge on experimental learning of the nature and technique of manufacturing processes for the industry pertinent products. The main objective of the contest is to draught the product, set up and operates the machines to make the product. The teams were selected by the registration process and a total of 10 teams (two per team) actively participated in the contest. The contest consists of two dynamic rounds. The event consists of Product making round, in which the teams machined the product from the given drawing using lathe and the teams were evaluated based on final product’s Dimensional Accuracy, Surface finish and also the Machining process employed by the students. Based on the scores obtained by the team, one winning team and two runnerup teams were selected and honored with the winning certificates and the participation certificates.
