The Greenovate Together event, held at Jansons Institute of Technology by The Iterators Club in collaboration with the Department of Computer Science & Engineering, marked a significant milestone in the institution’s pursuit of ecological awareness and sustainable innovation. The session aimed to bridge the gap between environmental restoration and modern technological perspectives, striving to inspire a culture of responsibility and creativity among students and faculty

The seminar commenced with a warm welcome, setting an enthusiastic tone and underscoring the dual focus of the session—sustainability and innovation. The highlight of the event was the insightful session led by Ms. Mohanapriya Jayapal, founder of Tree Route and active member of the Resident Awareness Association Coimbatore (RAAC). Throughout her presentation, Ms. Jayapal drew on her substantial experience organizing plantation drives, advocating plastic-free lifestyles, and developing water conservation initiatives for stray animals. She illuminated the audience with practical examples of grassroots restoration and effective collaboration between NGOs, local communities, and student bodies. Her talk covered key environmental challenges such as climate change, global warming, and the increasing carbon footprint, linking these to actionable solutions accessible to students and young innovators.

Interactive segments during the event allowed participants to engage with Ms. Jayapal, ask questions, and share their ideas on potential campus projects and personal sustainability initiatives. The resourceful dialogue deepened participants’ understanding of the ecological impact of their everyday choices and encouraged them to consider innovative startup concepts focused on sustainability and green technologies.

The session concluded with a presenting a memento as a token of love to the chief guest by Dr Meenakshi IIC President JIT and heartfelt vote of thanks by Jayadharshini IV CSE , commending the speaker, coordinators, and the enthusiastic student attendees.
