International Women’s Day Celebration 

         International women’s Day was celebrated at the Jansons Institute of Technology on March 8th 2022 by Internal Women Carrying Cell (IWCC) in a grand manner through online and Offline in association with Tamil Mandram & NDLI Club. The event began with Prayer Song (Tamil Thaai valthu) and welcoming the gathering. Chief guest for the event was Mrs. Padmavenkat, a successful entrepreneur and a restaurateur. She was given a warm welcome by our student’s representative. She delivered wonderful speech about her entrepreneurial venture and the difficulties encountered by her on the way to success. She also narrated about her change over from teaching profession to entrepreneurship and she gave her women’s day wishes all the Girls students. Students shared their thoughts about women’s day after the chief guest address. The theme for the Women’s day was “Gender equality today for a sustainable tomorrow”. Ms. Renugadevi of 3rd ECE delivered a speech on the topic “Today’s equality, tomorrow’s sustainability “. It was a thought provoking one. This was followed by a speech on the topic “Gender Equality” by Sri Poorna of 3rd CSE. Ms. Brindha Prakashadarshini, of 3rd ECE spoke on the topic “Women, Women only!!”. And finally, Ms. Yehaasary K M of First Year, AI&DS, gave a sensational speech on the title “Successful Women” which was about women who made their mark on their respective fields.  Prize distribution event was carried out to the participants by the chief guest (Online). The event was ended with a vote of thanks followed by National Anthem. The entire event was hosted by Ms. Angel Melba of 3rd CSE.
