Rural Women Development Programs – Awareness Camp

The National Service Scheme organized a “Rural Women Development Programs – Awareness Camp” on 24.02.2026 at Unjapalayam village to educate women about various development initiatives and opportunities for empowerment. The program commenced with a welcome address by Madhumitha K from the II year AI&DS department, who highlighted the purpose and importance of the awareness campaign. This was followed by a guest lecture by Dr. Manjula R Shenoy from IWCC – JIT, who explained the significance of rural women’s participation in education, health, entrepreneurship, and social development. After the guest session, NSS volunteers visited the south, north, east, and west sides of Unjapalayam village to interact with women residents and share information about available welfare schemes and opportunities. The volunteers encouraged women to utilize government programs for personal and family development. The event concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Deepika R from the II year CSE department.
