National Girl Child Day Celebration – Women’s Empowerment in the Era of Social Distancing ” 

            National Girl Child Day was celebrated  to empower the girl child and to impart knowledge in the field of Education, Empowerment, Gender Equity and Health & Hygiene.

            A motivational program on Women’s Empowerment in the Era of Social Distancing  was organized by VE-SIP cell  in association with IWCC & NDLI club on 24.01.2022  .  The resource person was Ms. Alagu Lakshmi. S, Electrical Design Engineer, Siemens Technology & Services, Chennai.  

              The speaker initiated her talk by mentioning that women need to be equipped with the proper knowledge and capacity to become empowered at crucial times. Since social distancing is critical to stay safe, engagement can be promoted by increasing digital tools. She stressed that this can be leveraged for enhancing workplace support as well as to develop women worker’s resilience. Finally she concluded her speech by enlightening the participants by saying that the primary aim of women’s empowerment must be to make women self-reliant to have a healthy physical and mental state even during these crucial times when they are bound to stay at home.
