ONAM CELEBRATION PHOTOGRAPHY CONTEST TO PROMOTE TOLERENCE & HARMONY

Onam is the harvest festival, and a celebration of harmony among all people that celebrates difference and promotes unity. Onam promotes the message of unity in diversity, social harmony, and integration of all communities regardless of one’s gender, race, culture or religion. There will be a range of activities and cultural traditions – for example, traditional dance music – not only from the Indian community but it will be extended to other cultural and religious groups too, including Sri Lankan, Chinese, Afghan and Nepalese communities. This allows other cultural groups to participate and showcase their own culture.

Onam festival is the celebration of oneness in the Indian culture and promotes harmony, spirituality and living as one in everyday life. MOPHO Club of Jansons Institute of Technology created an online Photography Contest on Onam Celebration to promote Tolerance and Harmony for JIT students.
