Digital Dementia

The National Service Scheme (NSS) of Jansons Institute of Technology organized a program on “Digital Dementia” on 17th March 2026 at the Seminar Hall. The session began with a prayer song, followed by a welcome address delivered by Ms. Raveena Sree. The program mainly focused on a student discussion coordinated by Mr. Mohamed Sajeel Asfaan, where participants actively shared their views on the impact of excessive digital usage on brain function and memory. The discussion highlighted issues such as reduced attention span, dependency on gadgets, and lack of critical thinking skills among youth. Students also suggested practical solutions like limiting screen time and engaging in offline activities. The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Mr. Vishal S, appreciating the organizers and participants. The program successfully created awareness and encouraged students to adopt healthier digital habits.
