E waste collection drive

The “E-Waste Collection Drive” was held from November 15 to November 21, 2023, at the NSS Room, Jansons Institute of Technology, organized by the National Service Scheme. The event ran from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM daily. Participants were encouraged to responsibly dispose of their electronic waste during this period. Throughout the drive, volunteers educated attendees about the importance of proper e-waste management and its environmental impact. They facilitated the collection process, ensuring items were sorted appropriately for recycling or disposal. Dr. K. Senthamil Selvan made Interactive sessions and informative materials were provided to raise awareness and encourage participation. The drive aimed to mitigate e-waste pollution by promoting recycling and responsible disposal practices. Totally we received e waste of 8 kgs. It fostered a sense of environmental responsibility within the community and emphasized the significance of sustainable living. Through collaborative efforts, the event contributed to a cleaner and healthier environment for all.
