HIV-AIDS Awareness Programme

Thousands of people are infected and children are being orphaned because of HIV/AIDS. Enormous advances in HIV/AIDS treatment regimens have fundamentally altered the natural history of the disease and sharply reduced HIV-related morbidity and mortality in countries where such treatments are accessible.

Information is vital to enable people to have an accurate understanding of the modes of transmission and prevention strategies of HIV/AIDS, and in this regard, youngsters are expected to play a major role in the provision of information to promote awareness leading to behavioral change among the public.

Student volunteers enforced themselves with banners and posters with respect to HIV/AIDS causes, spread, prevention, methods of treatment, and cure. They also had slogans regarding the awareness program.
