Independence Day Celebration
Independence Day holds profound significance in the hearts of every Indian, as it marks the culmination of an arduous struggle led by countless freedom fighters and visionary leaders. It symbolizes the triumph of the indomitable human spirit over colonial oppression.
Illustrating this spirit, the Jansons Institute of Technology fervently commemorated the 75th Independence Day on August 15, 2023. The solemn occasion was graced by the esteemed presence of Dr. M. V. Sureshkumar, Director, who unfurled the Tricolour Flag with great pride. Among the distinguished attendees were Dr. V. Nagarajan, Principal, Dr. S. Elangovan, Vice Principal, and Dr. K. Senthamilselvan, NSS Program Officer, who added to the grandeur of the event.
Dr. M. V. Sureshkumar, in his address, eloquently emphasized the perpetual importance of Independence Day in nurturing the flames of patriotism. He urged everyone present to relish the cherished sense of freedom while also being conscious of the responsibilities that come with it. Dr. Elangovan commended India’s remarkable progress in various domains, spanning from science and technology to agriculture, since gaining independence.
The event also saw poignant speeches by Mr. G. Keerthika of I Year ECE, Bharathsree from I AI, and Ms. Janani Priya R from I CSE, who eloquently shed light on the historical struggles that paved the way for India’s independence. They shared insights about this year’s theme, encapsulating the essence of unity and resilience that defined the struggle for freedom.
In a gesture of camaraderie, the celebration concluded with the distribution of sweets to fellow citizens, symbolizing the collective joy and shared pride in India’s hard-fought independence. The event left an indelible mark, reaffirming the commitment of all present to carry forward the legacy of progress and unity, as envisioned by the nation’s forebears.
