International Yoga Day Celebration
The NSS Unit of the institution successfully celebrated International Yoga Day with the objective of promoting physical, mental, and emotional well-being among students and faculty members. As part of the celebration, an online quiz on the theme “Yoga for Healthy Ageing” was organized to create awareness about the importance of yoga and healthy living. Students and faculty members actively participated in the quiz and enhanced their knowledge of yoga, wellness, and healthy ageing.
A yoga practice session was conducted for students present on campus under the guidance of Mr. P. Dhamodharan, Physical Director and Yoga Trainer. Participants enthusiastically performed various yoga asanas, breathing exercises, and relaxation techniques to improve their physical fitness, mental focus, and overall well-being. Students who were away from campus were encouraged to practice yoga at their homes along with their family members, extending the benefits of yoga beyond the institution.
More than 350 students and faculty members participated in the celebration and benefited from the activities, making the programme a grand success in promoting a healthy lifestyle, inner harmony, and the spirit of “Yoga for Healthy Ageing.”
