National Pollution Control Day – IKS based Garden of Simples

On behalf of National Pollution Control Day, our NSS, YRC and JIT-IIC team took an initiative to build up a Medicinal Garden in our college campus on 02.12.2022, based on Indian Knowledge System. Our NSS and YRC Volunteers collected many medicinal saplings from their house and neighbour area. The gathering was welcomed by Mr. Sajith, II CSE. Volunteers had brought sapling like Aloes, Hibiscus, Holy Basil, Betel, Sesbania sesban, Sweet basil, Mexican mint, etc. These types of Medicinal plants are used to cure cough, fever and some minor diseases and infections. A separate area was prepared for the medicinal garden and our volunteers planted the saplings in the garden and irrigated the plants. The event was ended with vote of thanks by Ms Kanivarshini, II CSE.
