The event Tobacco Free Zone was organized on June 13, 2025, from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Jansons Institute of Technology campus. Conducted by the National Service Scheme (NSS) in association with the Youth Red Cross (YRC) and the Anti-Drug Club (ADC), the programme aimed to raise awareness about the harmful effects of tobacco consumption and encourage a healthier lifestyle. As part of the initiative, a tobacco-free zone line was created at both entrances of the campus, symbolizing the institution’s commitment to maintaining a clean, safe, and healthy environment. Faculty, students, and volunteers actively participated in spreading the message of “Say No to Tobacco,” emphasizing the importance of collective responsibility in preventing its use.The programme concluded with a strong reminder of the health risks associated with tobacco and the need to build a tobacco-free society. The event successfully promoted awareness and reinforced the commitment towards a healthier campus.
