Tree Plantation Programme

Trees promote a strong economy and can provide numerous resources to the people that need them. While cities are getting hotter, trees can reduce urban temperatures. They provide habitat and food for animals. Finally, trees are valuable green infrastructure to manage stormwater.

The NSS team organized tree plantation programme at Chennappa chetti pudur village and Dr. M. V. Suresh Kumar, Director- Administration has inaugurated the tree plantation programme on 25.03.2022, and also he planted a tree sapling in the Chennappa chetti pudur village. Our NSS volunteers extended the program by planting the tree saplings in and around the village We have planted nearly 50 saplings in that village.

Tree Plantation drives combat many environmental issues like deforestation, erosion of soil, desertification in semi-arid areas, global warming and hence enhancing the beauty and balance of the environment. Trees absorb harmful gases and emit oxygen resulting in an increase in oxygen supply. Everyone get an experience in that programme and also spread an awareness to those peoples in that village
