Field Visit to Business Incubator- FORGE FACTORY-COIMBATORE”
To convert student’s innovative ideas in to prototypes JIT-IIC oragnizes a filed visit to the Forge Factory, Coimbatore, for 30 students and 2 faculty members. The students are from various departments they are participated in Ideathon contests conducted at department level. Dr.M.M. Matheswaran and Dr. P Gowtham are co-ordinated visit for the students and make the necessary arrangements.
About the Forge Incubation Enterprise

Founded on this principle is its strategy to build a portfolio of programs to offer a comprehensive suite of services throughout the startup lifecycle from ideas to enterprises. Thery have adopted a 3-stage process for accelerating innovative ideas into enterprises, FORGE.FELLOWS – a pre-incubation program modelled in the form of an innovation/startup fellowship, followed by FORGE.FIRST – an incubation program aimed at fast-tracking product launch in the market and enterprise creation, and culminating in FORGE.FAST – a seed investment and business accelerator program.
On the day of visit Mr. Deepak Nirmal, Program Manager and Mr.C. Jerome Technical Lead of Forge Factory co-ordinated us and explain the working culture of the company.Mr.C.Jerome explained and organize the visit for various facilities available in Forge including labs and prototyping space. Further, they were introduced to the innovation process using Forge Innovation Handbook. It sparked the young minds of final & pre-final year students to identify whether the problem they are working on, is worth solving.
