World Intellectual Property Day 23 – Women and Intellectual Property Accelarating Innovation and Creativity
The JIT-IIC Cell in association with JIT – Intellectual Property Rights organizes World Intellectual Property Day’ 23 – “Women and Intellectual Property – Accelerating Innovation and Creativity” on 26.04.23. The event started with the prayer song followed by welcome address given by Mrs. N.Krishnapriya, Innovation Ambassador JIT.
Dr.M.M.Matheswaran IIC President, enlighten that Intellectual Property is the fuel that powers the engine of prosperity, fostering invention and innovation. Dr.M.M.Matheswaran brings together three exceptional women Alison Erickson, Assistant General Counsel of Hallmark, Susanne Hollinger, Chief Intellectual Property Counsel of Newell Brands, and Marlene Valderrama, Senior IP Assets Manager & Lead Technology Scout of Halliburton who have made a mark on the IP industry. He explores the challenges how these women have overcome, their leadership and accomplishments, and their outlook on the industry. He also discuss the importance of encouraging more women to use the IP system to protect and add value to their work and how IP can help woman-led businesses support economic recovery and build a stronger future.
The annual report of JIT IPR was given by Dr.E.S.Shamila, IPR cell coordinator. She list out the department wise patent details and IPR related activities throughout the year.
The Investiture of IPR Pavilion was done by Dr.S.Elangovan, Vice Principal. He explains how IPR provides a transparent administrative system for the ownership, control and transfer of the intellectual property created and owned by the Institute.
The Felicitations of Yukti Innovators was awarded and encouraged with cash award.
A book titled “Solar Thermal Conversion Technologies for Industrial Process Heating“ written by Dr.M.M.Matheswaran was launched by Dr.M.V. Sureshkumar, Director and received by Dr.M.Muthukumaran. HoD/Mechanical. The book presents a comprehensive look at the use of solar thermal energy in industrial applications, such as textiles, chemical processing, and food. The successful projects implemented in a variety of industries are shown in case studies, alongside performance assessment methodologies. The book includes various solar thermal energy conversion technologies and new techniques and applications of solar collectors in industrial sectors.
