On 02 and 03 April 2022, ‘Campus Bird Count’ was organized in the Jansons Institute of Technology Campus, for the faculty members and students to experience and appreciate the diversity of birds in the campus. The event was organised by the Jansons Eco Club under the supervision of Dr. V. Kirubhanandhini, Independent Bird Researcher and a research scholar from Salim Ali Centre for Ornithology and Natural history (SACON). She was the event’s chief guest. She led the faculty members and students through the event and guided everyone in identifying birds. Ms. L. Agnes Preethi, Assistant Professor, Civil and Coordinator, Jansons Eco Club organized the event.
               Around 40 faculty members and students gathered for the bird watching in the campus of Jansons Institute of Technology, Coimbatore. The exercise provides a “snapshot” of the bird population and sheds light on the ecology that supports it.
