Summary
The Institution innovation council of Jansons Institute of Technology organized a seminar on “Government Scheme for Budding Entrepreneurs” in association with JIT-Entrepreneurship
Development Cell. This seminar was organized on 03.02.2022 through online mode. This session
started with a welcome address by Dr.P.Gowtham ED Cell, Coordinator, followed by Dr.E.S.Shamila,
IPR coordinator shared about chief guest profile, the speaker of the seminar Mr.Sam Jaikumar.S,
Entrepreneurship Development and Innovation Institute (EDII-TN) Field Coordinator, Anna University
Regional, and Coimbatore. He has shared about Government schemes available for budding
entrepreneurs. To assist the first-generation entrepreneur who are unemployed educated youth,
Innovation and Voucher Program (IVP) organized by Government of India – EDII – Tamil Nadu have
formulated a new Scheme called New Entrepreneur Cum Enterprise Development Scheme (NEEDS)
in which educated youth would be given entrepreneurial training in conceiving, planning, initiating and
launching of a manufacturing or service enterprise successfully. The feedbacks from the participants
were positive response.The session ended with a vote of thank by Dr.P.Gowtham ED Cell
Coordinator.
